groove might be thte wrong word but I'm almost thinking of like danceability insofar as that's applicable (which it isnt but hold on)
like they def have the bass timbre but with bands like converge and weakling I feel like I can really move to it whereas meshuggah it's too unhinged for me

yeah idk there's this vague feeling I have that there's nothing to latch onto as I listen to "combustion"
picky metal guy I guess but I respect their uh musicianship
the way I think of it is that I'd love to see converge play with these guys but have a feeling I'd sort of start to metaphorically cross my arms when this band comes on
