Love the psych-y undertones in I Am I but I think the album shines the most at its bleakest. Out of Mind and Lady Jane for example are such poignant songs. Their anti-Empire record.

The last great Geoff Tate Queensryche release.

If you take Geoff Tate out of your sentence it becomes 100% correct ;)

No way. The first and third Toddryche albums are great too. Ha ha.

Willie, up your rating of The Warning already.

3.5 is pretty good. I'll go ahead and get a fresh listen, and re-assess my rating ;)

This used to be one of my favourite Queensrÿche albums. Over time my opinion of it has gotten more complicated... it has some of my favourite Queensrÿche songs, but also some duds and plain weird songs.

Try the original tracklist maybe, it's on Wikipedia too. The final one was rearranged by the label.

For me with time this only gets better and better, if it wasn't for Rage for Order this could become my favorite of theirs. What are the songs that rub you the wrong way?

Willie I'm interested to hear why Condition Human is worse than the S/T and Verdict

I have the tracklist set up on iTunes that way already.

It's two mellow and 'samey' for me. It's still really enjoyable, but definitely the weakest link in the three Todd-fronted albums.

Interesting. Its easily my favorite of the three.
Also, I suggest throwing prophecy into the Warning tracklist. Its cheating, but it fits so damn well and gives it a nicer length, for me.

"Prophecy" is my track 10.
I love the first two tracks and Bulletproof from Condition Human, but the rest don't hold my attention like the album before and the album after.

Word. I actually do need to spend more time with the verdict. Can't remember digging much beyond Levant.

Haha I think The Verdict is the best of three so the consensus in here is pretty wild. I think Toddryche gets progressively better album after album so far, as I feel they move closer to a classic Ryche swagger time after time while also honing their songwriting.
My biggest complaint is the lack of the taste for restraint that made classic Queensryche so special. Like even Dark Reverie "rocks" too hard, they really only let you breathe with Portrait.
