Nice review. Very down to earth and focused on the album itself instead of on SY's influence on modern alt-rock and such. Great!
Agreed on "Teen Age Riot" being one of the best Youth tunes. Personally, I think the playful yet extremely well executed guitar work on "Hey Joni" makes the second half of the album. Hardcore blasts of sound followed by swift headstock picking (if that's a word, dunno what else to call it). Definitely a stand-out track as well.

Riffs Riffs Riffs. Once you discover each noise given off by the album you'll definitely 4.5 or 5 it.

Listened to this yesterday for the first time in a while.
It was infinitely better than i recall it being the last time i heard it... pretty much everything about this is exceptional. And for a 1988 release, the production on this sounds shockingly modern.
