Just a phun phact...the tremolo on Boulevard is not actually a tremolo effect, it was manually chopped up by Billie Joe and the engineer with Pro Tools. Interesting, huh? ;)

good review, ok band. no offense but u sound kinda like a little fanboy in this one. i only liked 2 or 3 songs on this album. but this band is a total copy of MXPX.

4 stars is to much. There are about 3 tracks i like the rest are awful, they have scrapped their old style and gomne for a new one whch is terrible. Theyve changed too much

I think that this is Green Day's second best, behind Dookie, Although "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" has been driven into the ground, and "American Idiot" is used on every show on VH1.

Good review. In my opinion the older Green Day albums were better than this one. I also disagree with your rating of 'Blvd Of Broken Dreams'. It is, in my opinion, the worst song on the record and it doesn't help that it is being constantly overplayed on every music tv channel.

tyler how old are you like 12? I have to say that I do not like the pop-punk genre that much but this album was pretty good. I like the title song and Jesus of Suburbia was pretty good too. Though some tracks were weaker like saint jimmy. I'd give it a 3/5

Ive veen a fan of Green Day for 5 years. There old stuff was amazing but American Idiot is crap.

This album's alright. I didn't really like a few tracks. Holiday's probably my favorite.

Yeah the review's nice,but I can't believe the album got voted best album of the year in Canada. That's horrible considering there were so many better ones. I've been a Greenday fan for a while, and at first I liked this album, but realised that maybe the band didn't evolve as much as they should have, and their sound didn't evolve as much as it should have.

Its an ok cd. The songs are catchy and big but they are overplayed too much on the radio.

To me this album was good when i first listen to it, but now it hasnt grown on me and now im sick of it as it has so much repetition, it gets very annoying and makes you want to throw the CD away. Not being harsh, if you are a die-hard fan of Punk Rock, this is the one but frankly, I am tired of it.

I like it
I really like the song as well, I think ppl are just making fun of everyone's new singles these days, all the old bands comin back like Green Day, Feeder, Oasis, Jamiroquai etc.

The only reason this doesn't get a zero is because Holiday is so damn good.

Otherwise, this album shouldn't have been made.

I usually buy the albums that have been in the top 10 lists or have a good rating or whatever, and I have to agree, this one waz awsome.

I think that this is one of Green Day's best albums, considering that 3 songs got on Vh1's 20 countdown, and that they are reapeatedly replayed on the stations The nerve, PXY, and other stations.

This Album is much different then the other green day records, but to me it's an improvment since I havn't really reconized them until American Idiot, then came back and bought all the albums.

Green Day is awsome live, and i dont think the cd was too bad. They just decided to show people what they think. The lyrics may not bbe as good as dookie but the music is preety good. I think the only people who come on this site and talk bad about Green Day really like shitty rap. Green Day is Great OLD and NEW and its not their fault there album is good enogh to be played on the radio or tv a lot

Green Day are really the only punk band I like.
