trophy scars is pretty amazing. but my last light line is better. lol. i have trouble comparing converge albums, seeing as they are my favorite band. but i think no heroes and you fail me are very close, if not equal to each other.

Confessed2005, what i meant by not great openers wasn't in a sense that they sucked. I just like it better when Converge opens with something heavy. example: The Saddest Day, and Concubine. It's a personal opinion.

By the way, I meant that the lyrics to "Trophy Scars" suck.

Why does it matter if the lyrics are good or bad? How can you even hear them?

yeah, his lyrics are usually pretty depressing in general. his is an amazing writer though. those few lines may not be his greatest pieces of work, although their pretty ok IMO, but thats gotta be awesome to see live, with the music cutting out and all. ive never seen converge live, id kill to.

I thnk sometimes he writes bad on purpose to mean something more then what it simply states.

Lonewolves is such a good song. The guitars are sick.

I just read into depth what artists do and I don't think Bannon unwittingly wrote cheesy lyrics like that. I mean to say that he has a purpose behind what he says and even the cheesy stuff has meaning to be cheesy on purpose heither it sounds like that or not.

Yeah. Converge is by far one of the best Metalcore acts if not the best ever. Their only problem is that all of their lyrics are about love lost this, love lost that. It really doesn't matter too much through, because you can't understand what he's saying too well and the lyrics usally aren't printed in the album booklets so...

Some of the best 'love lost this, love lost that' lyrics I've read, explains why Bannon sounds like such a madman.

Is he supposed to write about why Bush sucks or something 'punk' like that. I'm guessing Converge is probably his main place to vent his anger, so he makes them personal.

I'm sure he has other 'personal' issues he could discuss, perhaps he might be hungry, tired, or even thirsty.

yeah he prolly does. I know he's a better lyricyst than just doing only "love stories"

He's one of the best lyricist around right now, not just in metalcore. And even though you can't distinguish the lyrics with his screaming; his screaming is what gives the lyrics emotion. Emotion plain singing can't match. That's what makes it so personal. This Message Edited On 04.18.07
