The misfits wrote good songs for a genre of music that isnt exactly based on instrumentals and musicianship.I can appreciate what they did for their scene and what they mean to their fans, especially as a jersey kid but I wouldnt ever dare use them as an example in an argument about youth and musicianship.

You really should of used Alexi Laiho as an example but I guess you're not metal enough to come up with that, instead you talk about A7X.I guess you must be attending Vengeance University right now?Friggin toolbox.

Im sorry, but everyone is wayyyyy too quick to hate on Trivium. Look, so many people were into them when they were new, and fresh, and as soon as they hit it big, everyone hates them. I love Trivium, and Im no wussy emo kid either, I enjoy metal as much as the next guy, but for christs sake, calm down with the Trivium hating. Im not going to be as blind as some and say this is one of the best albums ever, because it isnt, but it isnt the horrid thing you've made it out to be. Of course it isnt as big as Master of Puppets or Rust In Peace, but in its own right, its a good album. So Im glad everyone hates it so much, because that seems to be the big sign of "making it" in the industry, when Metallica hit it big, people began to hate them, so maybe Trivium is following in their footsteps, but theyll be laughing all the way to the bank.

That certainly makes me respect them alot more.

Someone else handle this.

Why do you assume we dislike the album because it was their "making it" album? Did you actually read the review?

Yes, I read the review, but I know for a fact that plenty of people are at least a little influenced by the fact that they are becoming "the next big thing" when they review it. Once a band grows too big for someone to claim its a good band without 2 or 3 other people within a 10 mile radius agreeing with them, it seems to affect their opinion. Im not saying thats the main reason or anything, but I do believe that it has an impact on some people opinions.I also have to agree with the fact that they have many of the pioneers of metal on their side as being a way of earning my respect, because when the people I idolize start praising a band I enjoy, its almost like double the greatness. But its not their opinions that form my own, it just solidifies my respect for them.

So I guess its wrong for a band to make money now too?Lets see, lamb of god debuted at frickin #8 on the billboard charts and sacrament is going to most likely hit platinum by the end of the year.So now that Lamb of God has a somewhat different sound and are on a major label and making a good deal of money right now they obviously suck really bad, right?

I guess that means when Shadows Fall comes out with their Major Label debut for Atlantic that means theyre gonna suck also because theyre gonna get more exposure and make more money?

I love it when supposed fans get all pissy because "their" band is no longer "their" band because they blew up and are making money.Thats a true "elitist" attitude because if somethings not undeground it no longer is any good. What a bunch of bs.

You guys are cute. There've been so many words stuffed down so many throats on your account(s) it actually turns me on.

If you're going to try it on me, please wear gloves because I don't want your icky hands down my throat unprotected.

Yes, because I was trying to shove words down your throat, when stating my opinion, just as you, and everyone else do I especially love the very adult rebutle to what we said, very classy.

But A7X godamn man, that really blows me away.I dont know if you want to ozzfest but im not lying when I say that they pretty much attract 14 yr old girls that are really just scene sluts, and little kids that havent been exposed to much music yet.Now keep in mind at Ozzfest the mainstage crowd is very very different from the 2nd stage crowd in that it seems that there are alot more older folks there to see Ozzy or Disturbed or something a little more "tame" like that.If A7X was so good than they wouldnt have been getting booed by all the 20-30 something metalheads who can see thru their little act right away. These guys were an post-hardcore emo band before they were on a major label.I was exposed to them years ago and let me tell you, these guys have no chops at all.You wanna talk about "stock" guitar playing then look no further.Their singer is seriously god aweful and has a terrible voice and the rest of the band is a bunch of flamers who actually have stylists that decide how they dress and such.

At least Matt H. has a great voice especially when those hooks kick in and they dose you with 300ccs of pure melody.

Sharkmenow is the one with the sticky fingers, but by saying this, you tend to be guilty by association.

when stating my opinion, just as you, and everyone else do

Heartfelt, I'm sure, but irrelevant as that was not what I was referring to. I could care less about your speech pertaining Trivium and money.

I especially love the very adult rebutle to what we said, very classy.

Generic sarcasm isn't very mature, yer know. It isn't witty either.

I agree, it isnt very mature, but then again, stating that my opinion doesnt matter to you when you take the time to say something about it, is definately a lie, and we all know, that lying is very bad. So I mean, I dont want to get into a meaningless argument on the internet, theres enough of that going around, but dont try to belittle my opinion on an internet message board, because its going to end up making us both look like fools.
