@sona I agree, and it's really the only significant problem that manifests itself throughout the trilogy - they don't really know how to start albums (although I'm sure plenty of people disagree), or really engage on their first tracks. I don't see how the tracklists could be otherwise though : O

Bruh, Pinch is the ultimate start. It’s a highlight of the Okra Experience ™

I definitely disagree with the implication that “paperhouse” and “future days” don’t fuck.

I just realized that Vitamin C plays during the opening credits of Inherent Vice. What a movie, what a song!

Ege is soooooo good and Future Days is toooooo! And Tago of course.

Looooove the classic CAN albums (the Damo-run).

Also check their Soundtracks album if you still want more Dewi, Mother Sky is one of their best tracks.

If I’m gonna consider levelling this up, I really need to remember what it’s called (and not refer to it as “Egg Basmati”… “Bamyasi”(apparently) is just so un-memorable, lol

This has those nice percussive grooves in a neat, concise little package. It does offer something more digestible than Tago and is quite a different vibe to Future Days.

but yeah, I need to spell it first without checking. Those are the rules.

Is it better to think of this as one continuous song / vibe? It kinda starts slowly for me. Pinch is such tease. Vitamin C is an obvious bop and Soup provides the crazy percussive energy (and eventually) the freak-out side of Tago in one quite nicely succinct cut. That’s definitely my fave part of the record

Oh yeah I think so too, it's more of a several movements stringed together somehow kind of album. Concise and very groovy.
