I really wasn't big on P5 so I'm not going into this one expecting much tbh.

i dont get the p1 love. other than a few great songs and the nostalgia i think its really boring and i go back to it the least. i can get super chuggy djent elsewhere.

“The vox can’t decided if they’re Underoath, Norma Jean or Coheed And Cambria.”

That would make it him better if that was the case. I hear Linkin Park if they stubbed their toe.

I’ve just always thought he was an annoying vocalist

He can be whiny, but I do dig his vocals more often than not so far tbh.

Digging this more with subsequent listens. I like that they went for a concept in this, the whole thing feels cohesive after the sprawling p5

"for homefront! lol."

Was it the first or second one? Doesn't matter either way they both sucked but don't remember which one it was. The main thing I do remember from it how it had a scene with White Phosphorus for pure shock value and then 2 years later Spec Ops: The Line actually used it in a horrifying way.

Mr. God is an absolute ass shaker

This is somehow simultaneously their most fun and depressing album. Love what they did here tbh.
