I love how they turn up the sludge for the second half of this.
First half you got the fun lil rippers but the second half is where you can really sink your teeth into it.

Agreed I love how they slow things down for the second half

Make Me Forget You is an all timer, beautifully crushing

I will say, I wish there was more sludge here. I love the rippers but as someone who adores The Dusk in Us, I want more of that nastiness.

I prefer this overall, but in Dusk defense nothing makes me want to wreck shit up the way Reptilian does. That song is brutal (plus the lyrics)

Albums great but like i said in bloodmoon thread leaves me wanting more. Its also very safe and a return to basics in a way. Make me forget you and presence are highlights for me

Oh crap. I confused Make Me Forget You with the closer.
We Were Never The Same is actually the best here IMO but both of those along with Bad Faith make up 3 of the best songs in their entire career which is just wild

I consider Make Me Forget You and We Were Never the Same as one track
It was really dumb to drop the latter as a single. Seems like every band nowadays makes their closer a single lol

Converge’s most baffling decision to me was releasing their best song as a b-side/bonus track (eve)

odd choice for sure considering its better than just about every track on the album it was excluded from.

Finally putting this on. Review is good, basically what I expected from them. Can't wait to find out.
