You know I love you bro, but this has to be one of your worst takes. Claiming this album is a money grab is wild. Danny got sober, rediscovered the fire for music he felt when he was young, and then wanted to put a bunch of up and coming artists/producers he loves into the spotlight. This is the truest to his soul project he’s released, and if you don’t fuck with it that’s fine, but to call it a cash grab is wild work

Just my personal opinion bro. It might not be what it is, but it sounds like it.

collabing with a bunch of trans underground hyper-pop artists who don't have a fraction of the audience he does would be a rogue move for a cash grab

If he wanted a cash grab he would’ve linked with The Alchemist, Nicholas Craven, Conductor Williams, producers that are putting numbers on the board within the rap community. Instead he went with underground hyperpop producers, which was bold because it could easily alienate a large part of his fan base, but in no way was this choice more financially beneficial than him going with the producers I just mentioned. Your opinion on the album is obviously valid, but what he did is the opposite of a cash grab 100%

I mean more the style of the music, not his collaborators. I'm glad you guys like this, I just think it sucks lol.

if danny really wanted a cash grab, he would just do an AE or XXX sounding album all over again. would be way more of a guaranteed hit among his audience than this thing is (judging by this thread)

That's a very good point tbh. Hey, just going with what I feel. Not saying thats what he was doing, just the style of kusic as I mentioned. I wanted to love this album.

“Instead he went with underground hyperpop producers“
Underscores has a 1.1 mil on Spotify, Quadeca has 700k listeners, femtanyl has 800k, hardly “underground artists” my dude, not saying its a cash grab but its certainly a power move, these artists are hugely popular with young people right now, Jane Remover had one of the most popular albums of the year on AOTY like come on now
