So I think I had a slight awakening this week while listening to this album. The final 3 songs just clicked and made sense to me. What was I on to pass them up?

The Mantle is boring wha are you talking about.
This and Pale Folklore are both borderline 5s for me, and The Mantle is like a borderline 3.5.

I didn't say that, I just find it much more overwhelming to listen to as a whole. "In The Shadow of Our Pale Companion" is probably their best song, but I find most of the rest drags for the most part.

You seem to be president of the rather miniscule minority here to dislike this album and/or Agalloch eh Ras/Rez.

I enjoyed Pale Folklore, but I find most of their other stuff monotonous.
