I'm having a wild time with this. I normally don't listen to this type of thing but Panopticon last year opened my mind up to The this style. In listened to this all the way through last night on headphones while looking out the window at our first snow in Michigan. Magical stuff

It is a very niche minority who enjoy this it seems.

Fair enough! There’s nothing here I dislike. I just think I’d enjoy it more if the songs were all cut in half yk?

It is probably a little overwhelming and difficult to digest for some.

when I feel like the songs are too long, I realize I'm waiting for something to happen . but it is already happening.

When you really pay attention to all the layers underneath the static guitar attack you can hear a million different things happening. Almost like an entire song waits underneath the fuzzy lo fi forward layer and there's just this brilliance happening underneath. New to this style, its growing on me every listen. I still cant throw this on a stereo or in the car, headphones are the only vehicle for this release for me

I don't think even us seasoned paysage veterans *tips beret* would play this through anything besides earphones, it would be kind of like eating a nice home cooked spag bol at home vs blending it and drinking it after a workout

Glad to hear that's the normal way to take this in. I put it on in the car last week and was like "why the hell did I think I liked this?"
