Honestly the amount of people who come into threads like these and say some diss against doof or myself have nothing of actual substance to say, they only have one objective: throw out petulant insults like they’re perpetually stuck in high school bullying whoever has the unpopular opinion.Most don’t care about engaging in any sort of meaningful debate and can’t stand divergent opinions. Mongi is a good example itt of someone who actually engages in a dialogue without letting blind hatred take the wheel. From generic disses like “another garbage take from ‘x’ user” to people being told the world would be a better place without them, or wishing ill on them (like wishing Doof’s wife would leave him), it never ceases to amaze just how hateful some of these people actually are.

Look I’ve definitely said contentious and regrettable stuff here, a lot of bad taste jokes too, but I’ve been here nearly ten years, why would I stand by everything I’ve said the whole time I’ve been here? As far as grudges go thanks to the very worst of the worst trolls seemingly perma banned recently I’ve got no issue with anyone - a reaction to anything will be in direct response not a history I remember

Didn’t know about trolls being permabanned recently, still seeing a lot of users who seem totally fine with attacking people based on their opinions. And there’s a pretty big difference between having some controversial opinions or making some jokes in bad taste and users like porcupine who solely come into threads to dish out personal attacks, imo

my responses, besides calling out Doof earlier, were completely reasonable and level-headed and I explicitly said "not trying to catch anyone in a gotcha or start an argument" and then respectfully explained my opinion, and I definitely wasn't met with any kind of dialogue or debate , the response was a super super impossibly tired boomer joke about gender instead lol
