She's playing both sides of the gender war and I respect it.

honestly something about this seems very manufactured by instagram and tiktok analysts, but there's a few cool tracks here and there. as always, the music industry and record companies trick pop stars out and kick them to the curb once they're not the flavor of the month anymore. probably not in Sabrinas case bc she's already famous. and its not that I don't embrace sexual elements in music either (even when its overt), but something about shit like this and Addison rae feels very forced.

I'm sure that's not a unique opinion to hold. and she might very well have more creative control than others in her position have. but idk

it's because the industry clearly selects them for non-music reasons. disney star, nepo baby, tik toker. that will always be forced and inauthentic no matter which way you slice it. and poptimists will eat up literally anything. plus the whole obvious celebrity worship/stan thing is very offputting. they are basically brands just like any other corporation in my eyes.

right on. like the new Erika de casier album oozes sensuality and sexiness, but retains a lot of pop appeal, and not at the expense of smart songwriting. this shit just feels kind of average to me and has millions of supporters. but again, I'm not the target demographic so no hate

like the pop songwriters of our generation remain in the "underground" while shit like this sells out sports stadiums. not surprising just disappointing.

Good graces and bed chem are crazy good. She just needs to be more consistent on her next album

but yeah the whole stage antics of popstars thing can be kind of weird, a girl I know likes Sabrina's music a lot but decided against going to her concert because of how sexual they are

I don’t know what the controversy is Sabrina seems like a nice lady with a very astute marketing team.

Yeah it’s pretty obvious. But I can’t deny there are some world class pop songs on this record. Not sure if it’s a whole conspiracy. I think she has some talent.

I'm not even coming from it in a old man "fuck gen z" kind of way. the new pinkpantheress album is one of my favorites so far from this year. I just feel like this is missing the distinguishing qualities of other pop stuff from recent times. this reminds me of a less dynamic rise and fall of a midwest princess

im not even against the sexuality of it all. I just wish there was more riding on her music than an image.

Yeah that’s why I gave it a 3.5. Which in sput terms means it’s barely good.

Most the other songs suck. There are maybe 3 really good pop songs here.

The sexual innuendo lyrics are so cringy
