this band was releasing music several years before either of those bands put out records.

Wow you're right, if they sounded like that early in their career, Archspire and Artificial Brain probably took some inspiration from their playbook...

their debut isn’t as techy as what would come after, but it’s definitely still one of the earlier examples of the sci-fi brutal tech stuff that you hear from all those bands.

also enjoy brutal assault. that festival is one of my bucket list items to eventually attend one day.

I think Artificial Brain and Wormed influenced each other. Wormed have been around since the 90s but have shifted from a slam death metal band to a more techy/disso one over time, around when bands like Ulcerate and Artifical Brain came up.



The DNA's still there on Planisphaerium though, it was just more straight-up brutal.
