yeah, this really hit me yesterday. Perfect conclusion

The songwriting isn't boring... its just buried and you have to dig it up. I'll be the first to admit that some parts of this album are bloated bullshit but kind of in the best way possible. After 10+ listens to World of Light for instance I find that my favorite part of the song is the first 8 minutes and the final 8 minutes whereas before I was like "when is this thing going to do something".

is there any sort of consensus on what their best / second best (if this is tops) album is? I need to dig deeper having only heard "What One Becomes" previously (in the days before I was 'ready')

It all depends on your flavor, I’m towards What One Becomes or Love in Shadow

I only just now finished my first listen of this and I can't wait to really dig into it.

I have always thought Love in Shadow is easily their best, but I think this has the potential to top it.

Has anyone seen these guys live?? Might have to catch one of their shows next month, but it's gonna require a bit of driving.

Saw them back when Love in Shadows came out and it was insane. Definitely try to catch them live!

I found this immediately convincing, but a few passages definitely improved on further inspection - some of the improv parts especially. I might give this another run later (you need to make time for this behemoth)
