no this is fire honestly. There’s a lot buried into the ambiance

we should talk about the second half of love of my life (l’amour) tho. Is that hyper pop? Is it good?

interesting album, the back half is pretty incredible and does all the heavy lifting. it's a shame the first half is so bad, "lunch" is easily the worst track of the year so far.

Alright Spectre isn’t quite as mid as I remembered. I only watched it twice… 9 years ago in the theater (so by a decent stretch it’s my least watched Bond flick). I just remember it being such a disappointment followup to Skyfall, which is still true.
The third act is still a complete mess, but it’s entertaining as all hell. But what I’m getting at is that if you can vibe with the Roger Moore camp it’s absolutely the film for you.
Swear to god I’m done with the Bond shit in this thread after I watch No Time to Die again.
Don’t take me too seriously on this but I think I might do a complete Bond series run and start my own thread ranking them. Might take a couple of months, got a lot of shit going on rn but I’m sure at least smok and gyro would enjoy it, which is actually hilarious because I typically find you two annoying as fuck. But I’m glad we have some common ground with the Bond love. This thread has fs made me see you guys in a different more positive light.
Peace and love to all of you < 3

Quantum of Solace is one of the worst action movies I've ever seen, and I've seen way too many

as a conservative i find "lunch" to be offensive and a weak song, hedonistic pleasure shouldn't be celebrated so casually

new copypasta just dropped

neeka I absolutely fucking adore you but you’re just wrong man.
Strongly recommend at the very least scrolling and reading my thoughts on the film in the earlier pages. And even bigger recommendation is watching it directly after Casino Royale and making a day out of it. A lil double feature.
They work perfectly in tandem with Casino Royale being the main story and Quantum being a direct epilogue of sorts. Yes, it’s shot much worse, yes, the writing is much worse, and yes, it doesn’t have as strong a cast of characters. But I also think that exemplifies the loss Bond feels regarding Vesper and the loss that we, as viewers, of the absolute powerhouse that is Mads Mikkelson.
Like I’ve said over and over, Casino Royale is very personal to me and very likely my favorite film of all time. But I’ve never quite gotten the hate for Quantum. It probably helps that I was like 11 when I saw it in theaters so I didn’t recognize the flaws that are very obvious now.

I kinda get it, but I think it's just terribly directed, choreographed, shot, and edited
I absolutely love Casino Royale tho
that, Skyfall, and From Russia with Love are easily my favorite Bonds (the Dalton ones are obvs incredible too)
