it’s all fun and games until you’re throwing up blood in a detox unit for four days pumping you full of vitamins and benzos to keep the withdrawals at bay.

actually ngl once I got settled it was probably the most relaxed I’ve ever felt in my life. I could go for a little four day stay in the hospital rn and I’m not even drinking. Shit felt like a vacation.

Damn dude. That’s rough. Glad you got better. Giving up social media other than this, eating cleaner, exercising more has done wonders but the addictive nature of the beast has transferred over to caffeine.

Mostly preworkout .

yeah… things weren’t looking good for a minute. I’ve learned to moderate. Never drink at home anymore, typically just at shows or out on dates or whatever. But never to get trashed anymore.

Glad for you brother.

That’s the way to do it Sir. I’m developing a simpler approach that’s making shit a whole lot more peaceful (other than the odd fuck up) and less walking on eggshells and that’s all I could ask for.

They added a second date and my wife and I were able to snag tickets for that. Not sure if that one sold out as well!

My brother recently passed away from drinking, for anyone out there struggling with it just remember you have a family that loves you, and if you are in the unfortunate position where you don't have much of a family just remember to try to be a better friend to yourself and try hard to get help

Thanks Zuk, and I’m sorry for your loss. Once you can casually take out a bottle

Of liquor in one sitting that’s a hell that’s hard to come back from.

@zak sorry to hear it... my uncle just died yesterday of complications related to alcoholism... I'm getting out of the liquor industry, for a number of reasons but I just don't feel great being part of it these days

Yeah my relationship with alcohol is definitely different after he passed. I used to enjoy whiskey and would consider myself a casual drinker throughout the week and got tipsy more than I cared to admit even into my 30's. I still drink from time to time these days but I can't even remember the last time I bought a bottle of a 6 pack it's been so long which makes me feel good. I feel like my brother passed along to me to "take better care of myself even though I couldn't" kind of a thought. His birthday was yesterday. Anyone out there struggling with "crippling Alcoholism" I wish the best for your future self
