I'm not into either band as much as I'd like to, but as far as their recent output goes, Empire of the Clouds tips the scale to the Maiden side.

They’re so tedious lol also Bruce’s voice is sure getting old too. Never really liked him tbh, he gets grating real quickly. Liege Lord has a singer with a disturbingly similar voice but I find him to be far more tolerable for long sessions than Dickinson

Crown of Horns is amazing. One of my instant highlights, the verses are stronger than the chorus but still slaps as a whole.

After first listen there are definitely songs that are not very strong at all IMO but over half the album has some standout tracks. Even two of the three bonus tracks were good enough to warrant a 5 star on my ipod.
