It’s like when Brand New’s Science Fiction was number 1 on Billboard. It’s not cuz it was blowing up the airwaves.

Just watched melon mans live reaction to the album. Holy shit and i thought his review was personal vendetta (for some reason), he is in a very bad place right now
|

why would you do that
|
| |
@sizeofanocean
Yeah, plus the way he mocked carti’s verse on carnival was kind of a low blow off him

I was a fan of him from before his Fader article debacle, after that he completely cucked out to never get canceled again (which i kinda get, but now he is one of those people he used to make fun of unironically). I loved thatistheplan so much, which makes his downfall so much worse for me

Though in a complete 180 his new Taylor Swift video is the most pre-Fader thing he ever did, people without a sense of humour and irony would even call it "alt-right“

Gibbs feature goes hard. Haven't bothered listening to the rest of this yet though. Jesus is King, Donda 1 and 2 are all complete slogs

That Freddie Gibbs feature made me wanna check him out. Always heard good things about him but never checked him out

ehhh i've meditated on this a bit. really beside the slapped together feeling of it juuuust doesn't* seem innovative or a step forward. it sounds like something that could've dropped in like 2017 and had a lot of hits, but it's attempt to chase that vibe is kind-of a deal breaker for me cause i straight up can't stand most of the post-cloudrap clubby-punchin stuff. main thing i'll give it credit for is the tracks stand apart from one another, but otherwise this is as much of a chore as any of drakes past 4 albums or so. if that's someones taste tho than this album probably slaps, it's just not my thing. the features are attention getting at least.

OH SHIT GIA'S BACK
and it took this mid-ass album for that to happen

@sizeofanocean highly recommend, i don't think he has a bad record but I'd highly recommend Shadow of a Doubt if you liked his feature here

@tellah hell yeah the feature was the best verse on the whole album. He also got a really authoritative voice which is always a big bonus for rap imo

The Good (Don’t Die) got removed from Spotify, and in assuming will get removed from other platforms, following action from DS’s estate. Undermines this already poor record even further. I wonder if the other two volumes will get released at all and if anyone will listen. In any case, mentioning Kanye or this album irl is an uncomfortable feat, even in regard to legal news…

@Sizeofanocean
Fantano's divorce did get to him. He even admitted in the live reaction to the album he just came straight from therapy to do the stream.
