'Def one of the most disappointing albums ever in recent memory for me' [2]
I was so hyped, the first album rules so hard cba.

If you cut 5 songs from this it would be a lot better as an EP.

Also, im convinced a few of these songs were originally written and recorded in the style of All Is In Sync and then were remade and given the Sleep Therapy treatment. I want the original version of this album in All Is In Sync form.

what happened is jesse wrote like 8 songs in the style of the old album, didnt think they were good enough so he started anew with the rest of the material here. the only holdovers are bedsheet tourniquet and house of leaves
and yeah this is a contender for most disappointing album for me maybe ever. cure soothes those waters a bit by being really good, as at least erra's still got me, but this stings a lil extra bc it's the only ghost atlas i got to experience in real time and i was hyped for it for literally longer than i've been an erra fan. oh well better luck next time

tbh it is sorta proof that batch of songs was probably nothing special either since it gives away all its tricks in the first minute
like where were his songwriting skills on this one bro smh

I love this album but everytime I listen to the trio of Legs, Badlands, and Fox Rain I cant defend the new album and I crave more of that shit. Inject it in my veins. God those songs are so good.

goddamn even a month of listening to nothing but coldplay can't make this album sound interesting rip
had some of these songs on shuffle amidst other pop rock and it really poked holes in them. used to think i kinda liked polyphonic mind but its so emblematic of this albums shortcomings
the title track is still cool though

I still reeeaaallly like some of these songs (Seeker and the title track especially) but a 3.5 feels more appropriate

I really wish I liked this even a little bit, he held back too much lol. I hope he goes back to the post hardcore style after this

Not sure this gets it's due. Initially, I thought it was decent. But I found myself continually returning to this album throughout the year. This grow on anyone else?

Was trying to give this the benefit of the doubt when it came out but it just hasn't stuck with me at all. Truly the lowest point of Jesse's artistry is this year, sad times.

This is one of the most sad and disappointing albums in recent memory for me. When some of these songs come on shuffle I give them another chance but they never stick, there's just nothing to grab onto
