I don't know how things will shake out over time but for me this flows perfectly. Starts out promising and heavily emotional, and the melodies only get stronger as the gut punches become harder as this thing unravels.

@Sowing Honestly, it was Bright, Concrete Boys, Ghosts and Scenes that made that album for me, however every song here is great so maybe on second listen they may reach those levels. Those Tiny Skull songs have been my soundtrack for this year so far though so idk. Overall though, this album is definitely better.

Literally every song here is perfect. I love TDDB so much but this is the better album by a landslide for me. I haven't been this obsessed with or so immediately impacted by an album in years. Whole thing flows so well. There's happiness and melancholy all at the same time. There just isn't any flaws here at all.

I’m gonna have to give this a more active listen. Listening passively last night didn’t do much for me. Pretty and well-performed, but i feel like the lyrics, and their respective deliveries, are gonna be what makes this for me, if anything

Yeah Bedroom Door is kind of a nothing burger, album wouldn’t be any different without it

I think this really benefits from a louder listen, some of the finer production points could be easily missed otherwise

I love it. Very different from their Opus. This radiants tons of Jimmy Eat World/Death Cab For Cutie energy when those bands are at their best. Overall this lacks the massively memorable highs like Here Is Where, River, Lay Me Down, The Good Days, the list goes on but I’m happy they just didn’t make the same album. Well done you great scots!

Ngl Something Borrowed is, for me, the definitive GOAT. Just gives me wicked nostalgic vibes for the few past love's i've experienced and idk it just makes me wanna hug someone maybe bellovddd

not sure what to rate this yet
but crazy how they were able to release another album that perfectly fits where my life is today
the predecessor got me at 23 right after the end of a long term relationship
this one comes at 33 with a family, mortgage and looking back through the years

I think I'm inclined to agree. All the ones I gave 5/5 are in the conversation but those two and maybe Old-Time Tunes seem to stand out the most.
Something Borrowed in particular might be the best song I've heard in years
