truly a cruel world we're living in

Tbh all of this band's stuff sounds a little bit the same and I do honestly see the appeal of that, I'm glad they're around even though I skip lots of their albums and usually don't care about more than 3 or 4 tracks from the ones I do check

King Gizz fans are the vegans of the music world.
I swear I could be in a fucking John Coltrane thread and someone will say “yeah but have you listened to King Gizz???”

High on Fire if they played repetitive uninspired fuzzy garbage
|
| |
do High on Fire not do that?

Album Rating: 1.5
remove the word uninspired and yeah, that's pretty much correct
but 'garbage' in the sense it's absolutely filthy and to even appreciate it you cannot have showered for at least three days
I like 'em tho you probably only need to check 2/3 or their better albums and I haven't revisited in a good while

First half of nonagon
Rattlesnake & sleep drifter from microtonal
Superbug
If in the mood, season with some mind fuzz
thank me later
|

Eh Id prob just keep Gamma Knife, Evil Death Roll, and maybe the opener/closer from nonagon. Mr. Beat is so annoying lol
And yeah Rattlesnake is the easy standout on microtonal

least hateful sputnikmusic thread

“they did an entire album where they played microtonal instruments but just used them to play boring western rock music melodies slightly out of tune and it was built up as being this crazy fucking experiment they were doing instead of an incredibly obvious gimmick to appeal to people who take pictures of pedal boards at gigs”
Iress my cASE

Quick hits. Vox terrible. Riffs are pretty dull for the most part, especially Supercell through Witchcraft. The drums sometimes have an interesting tone. Dragon is alright, instrumentally at least.
Better than Rats’ Nest (not hard), seems they levelled up their thrash chops marginally. Kudos for progress. Now they just need a vocalist and maybe not to release an album every five mins.
