I live up north in a fly-over state; usually anyone worth seeing is at least an 8 hour drive lol. Would love to see these guys in concert too. I'm sure they put on an incredible show

Karin is the highlight of the album so far, not close

First half bored me to tears tbh. Atlantic was okay. The ‘epicness’ really isn’t hitting yet. We’ll see.

Homie I live in Columbus, bands ignore the state completely or just go to Cleveland and bounce. It sucks. We have good venues here too, our metal scene is just kinda lackluster.

That's weird, I would expect Columbus to be big enough to attract some bigger name bands. Then again I've never been to Ohio so idk. My state always gets ignored too, with some exceptions (Mastodon in particular loves to play in Missoula for some reason).

We do get decent names, but the crowds usually leave a lot to be desired and it discourages return trips. Like Rolo showed up last year and it was crickets. Daoboys showed up three times and only on the third was there really a decent showing. Dark Tranquillity was a ghost town.

The big thing too is that, for touring route purposes, Cleveland is an easy launchpad into Michigan/Canada/etc., whereas Columbus and Cincy are a bit more out of the way.

Same here--any metal band that makes its way up here usually doesn't come back due to poor turnout. But considering our biggest "city" is like 150k people so I'm not sure what else to expect lol

I'll probably have to just suck it up and drive and try to catch The Ocean in SLC or Seattle if they ever go to those places.

What state is this? If you don't mind answering.

Montana. I'll never move anywhere else because I was born and raised here and it's gorgeous but it does have its downsides

Ouch yeah I don't see too many Montana dates on tours lol, that sucks. Would love to visit the state sometime though, just to experience the nature. I've fantasized about having an artistic retreat or something.

Yeah, it's definitely worth the visit! Lots to see and do if you're into nature, and very inspiring for an artist. My personal favorite is Glacier Nat'l Park; it's breathtaking.
