I couldn’t quite get enough words in for a review so I put them into a soundoff for the Let The Ocean Take Me redux. Hope you guys dig it.

I did not dig that sound off, if I could give a sound off a negative bump I would do that

Really sad that Ahren is out man :[

It's not Amity without him, so as far as I'm concerned the band is done for. They went out on a high note at least.

nah they don't need him to rule, its not like joel is leaving. look at that last in hearts wake album where they stepped it tf up to fill in the role of their clean singer leaving, plus amity already put out plenty of bad material with ahren on it in the past

itll certainly be different though, sad to see regardless

He was the founding member and i dont think there are any original members of amity left in the band now

Arhen has never been that strong vocally live. It would be interesting to see if they would replace him but I dunno. His voice IS Amity really so who knows.

According to Ahrens insta someone asked what happened or if its some shady nda stuff. Ahren just said: Ask Joel

From what I recall he was having some drug problems, hopefully this is a leave of absence and he comes back eventually. Very bummed tho, they were on such a good roll

yeah i sincerely hope he can get all the help that he needs. seems like theyd been trying to handle it privately for years now so i hope it wasnt like a mark o'connel/taking back sunday situation or anything

It's hard to imagine Amity without Ahren to be honest.

Redux is kind of a wash with me. Instruments sound better but harsh vocals are not as good and the cleans, though close, are just a little flatter. Honestly lowered my estimation of the original a little bit revisiting them, overall rated about the same as each other.

Redux is better in parts for me. Theres parts i like and then theres other parts that just dont really work for me tbh

And mt guess with Ahren drama is that its overblown as hell now. My guess is Ahren said he was ready to come back from his "Dude go to rehab and get help" time out, the lads said: No you are still in time out and get sober

Ahren: CRANKY, took it quite hard and is on a angry doom spiral

Ahren is 100% goneeeeee. new fella is from True North. His got a pretty solid voice, much more range then Ahren has. Will be interesting to see how they go from here.
