It's just never a good sign when you turn on an album for the very first time and you already feel like you've heard it before ya know? Like it's not bad, but it's so fucking predictable it's hard to want to revisit.
Waiting for Brian to start a side project that ends up being way more fun than this because he's honestly the only highlight for me at this point.

Yeah agree Onion lol. I like TDWP but Color Decay was pretty boring. Had a few moments but other than that it was pretty in one ear and out the other. I couldn't even tell you what twenty five sounds like honestly.

for me its easy to explain. the somber piano intro, the pained screams from Mike, the crescendo, peaking at the 2-or-so minute mark that's very much post-metal influenced. Those leads once the whole band kicks in are majestic and the build to it is pretty much perfect.

These guys are fucking amazing live though, really fun to see the guitarist step up for some backing vocals, he was great. Mix was amazing too, although the guitars were a bit quiet. I can see however why the vocalist needed autotune for these choruses, sounded a bit like he couldn't really reach the high notes.
