The real wildcard would be the people who want Trey to take over

carnifex circa 2014 / make them suffer's debut was peak deathcore with atmosphere

I saw that before you edited it, Carnifex is GOATed

Ben had one of the most satisfying low tones to ever grace this genre imo. But I like Marcus more overall.

“Ben had one of the most satisfying low tones to ever grace this genre”
Absolutely agreed, Ben’s lows were so forceful and sounded like he was swallowing the planet. Marcus has some insanely sick lows tho

Ben's lows are the reason why I started learning how to scream in the first place

Oli's screams on There Is a Hell were what really made me want to learn.

Emberglow is taking that spot for me slowly but surely

Whisper is cool, idk why people were upset when it released as a single lol. Also feel like Void should be talked about more. That intro is so rad.

I find Emberglow to be quite forgettable, idk why y’all like it so much

I'm not even sure. Its like a 4 way tie between Absence Persistent, Without a Whisper, Elysium, and False Meridian.

False Meridian, Void, and Elysium are the ones I come back to the most. Purity is up there too

And I was one of those haters in the late 00s and early 10s!

Oh and Reverie's a great chillout break from the action. Reminds me of how people used to hate Salmarnir off Define the Great Line but it was one of my favorites for allowing a break from the action and focusing on the moody sections.

Best tracks for me after four listens are Without A Whisper and Emberglow

Reverie and Salmarnir are both my least favorite track on their respective albums lol. I get why you like it, but for me I end up listening to it the first couple times through and then I slowly start skipping it on later listens.
