This band just doesn't do it for me. I've listened at least three times this week and it doesn't click for me. It's definitely the mixture of the vocals and the building of tension that doesn't release. If edging were an album, this would be it.
Inb4 the loudest Haken simp in this thread comes after my opinion on the album. We get it, you like the album. Let other people share their opinion without getting blasted.

This is cool, liking how much variation there is in this. Loving the jazz and electronic music influences sprinkled all over and it's very groovy

Wrong take on The Alphabet of Me - it's one of the catchiest tunes here. Overall I like the album a lot, it's very consistent bar one song (Lovebite) but it never blows me away completely - just like all the other Haken albums, really. But they are consistent across albums too, which is very rare.
Going to see them live in a couple of weeks together with BTBAM, very curious which band I will like better live.

The choruses really break this album for me. The only songs I look forward listening to are Nightingale and Alphabet of Me. The rest is really fine and that's it for me atm. Will lower my rating to 3.5, I guess. And that's probably generous, but I simply think this must still grow on me a bit
