Since Opeth doesn't make interesting (metal) music anymore, this is scratching that and many other itches I've had since their departure and mine getting to some heavier stuff in the meanwhile. Super interesting stuff with a lot of variety and room to discover new stuff with each listen, excellent balance of weirdness, heaviness and atmosphere

I know it's not exactly musical, but the horn blowing in the opening track while you hear the rowing sounds has got to be one of the most instantly memorable opening moments of an album ever, especially followed by that super meaty and tasty riff
