I think CC does RTR better than RTR. Better production, guitar melodies and vocals imo. Still really like RTR though. it is a very solid album.

My problem with CC is before it was released it was hyped up as a return to form, and it wasn't and I've really never liked it since. I do like the song with the female vocals, though.

I'll probably say this is a better and heavier versions of ASOP and SOAPF, so if that sounds good, you may like it. But yeah, cautious optimism is might still be needed.

I'd rather a heavier Purpose or Playground than something like Siren or Battles but Willie's review has me with a slimmer of hope, as small as it may be. Just hoping this won't be more of the same with how I feel about Clarity.

Come clarity and reroute don't sound alike at all really. And come clarity is definitely better but I do like reroute. I even like the weird production on it

I've never really understood what the issue with Come Clarity was -- from what I understand it's that it was heavy, but like, the wrong kind of heavy? For my money that album is closer to the 90s In Flames sound than Foregone is.

@Kusangii Versus Terminius has been growing on me a lot recently tbh.
@DaveyMonsoon I really like CC and I wouldn't say this is as good as that album by quite a decent amount so, yeah. Still will say this is miles better than anything from the 2010s.

Versus Terminus through vanishing light is as solid of a back to back to back as any they have in their discog. Also, 2nd half of CC destroys the first half. Everything from vacuum on is a banger

It's the closest post clayman album to their original sound and always will be

I think I will always prefer the first half but the second half is still quite strong. Our Infinite Struggle is one of my favourites of CC for the acousticy section alone and Crawling Through Knives is simply a slapper.
