I was watching the "Making Of" Bluray last night, and they use quite a bit of acoustic guitar as background music during the documentary. I kept thinking "Fuck man, why didn't they put a few of these passages on the record instead of in the film??"

Some of the riffs are included on the record, but cranked up on distorted electrics. I think the record could have benefited from a bit more acoustic here and there, especially with Jesper writing the material...

Anyway, I enjoyed the short but informative doc, and it really gives an insight into the genesis of the project, while opening a window into the lifelong friendships these guys have forged, and their sort of carefree and fun attitude they had going into this. The catalyst was clearly the pandemic, reinforced by a collective desire to return to the easier and more passion-driven days of yesteryear.

Also came with a pretty sweet 12 x 12 booklet insert with the lyrics and pictures of the band etc. Well worth the discounted price I paid for the preorder.

This album is a weird mix of songs that grew on me with a few listens and songs that absolutely bored me to tears after a few. Mainly the singles fall into the latter category
