I'd be super optimistic about the Eagles if Hurts wasn't our QB. I don't think he'll ever put it together as a passer and he's had the same issues making reads since he was in high school. Either way I think the defense and o-line are going to be super good if the team can avoid the absurd amount of injuries they've had since the Super Bowl year.

Hurts definitely needs to show something extra if the Eagles have playoff hopes. The Bucs exposed him hardcore in the postseason.

Wow. NFL is appealing. They're gonna seek a longer suspension.
Not sure what to expect.

I expect absolutely nothing lol
Also I like Hurts, always a lonely position to have lol. He is definitely ridiculously inconsistent so far

I hope they bury Watson, but that's wishful thinking.
Hurts is an amazing guy abd will rack up fantasy points, but his game definitely needs to improve my dude.

I like Hurts the person a ton. I really hope he makes some magical transformation but it seems incredibly unlikely. Fantastic dude and leader though so we'll see how he does with another year under his belt. He got exposed horrendously in that Bucs game so my last memory of him from last season isn't exactly glass half full.
I hope Watson never plays another game in the league but I can't see that being reality.

The NFL technically has a legal argument where they could call for an indefinite suspension and have an airtight case. The CBA gives the commissioners de facto judgement power, and Watson's situation being defined as unprecedented means that precedent can't be used as a counter.
My hopes aren't THAT high up, but it would be a massive PR slam dunk. And it'd make the Browns look even dumber than before, which would be peak comedy.

If I’m not greedy I hope the Browns and Dolphins win less than 6 games this season. Just a hope. If I am greedy then the jaguars go winless. Greed or common sense? History decides.

Hey everyone. Few things:
@pizzamachine According to the Oxford English Dictionary: hamsterwheelcore - n. 1. A subgenre of post-hardcore music characterized by musicians attempting to do the same thing repeatedly across several albums but expecting a different result. [colloquial term, coined ca. July 2022]
@Mars - Update from training camp: Stafford's elbow is hurting so he's resting right now, which is a tad frightening. Along with Van Jefferson needing a knee surgery. But hey! Other than that we look pretty solid. Cam Akers is healthy, Kupp and Robinson look great, and we reinforced our secondary with two rookie CBs who are SHOWING UP to complement Jalen so could be good (especially because I'm not a Jalen apologist and I think he's on the decline). Also Bobby Wagner is running the defense which I'm just rubbing in the face of every Seahawks fan I know right now. And finally, Aaron Donald just is.
@everyone - Deshaun should really be in jail right now but as pointed out by a good friend of mine, he's wealthy and I guess some people would rather take his money than send him to jail... and the worst part of all of this is that the Browns are SO AWARE of his situation that they're only paying him 1 mil his first year. That means that if he gets suspended for just one year, he will effectively be the highest paid player in the NFL starting year two of his contract. Then again if the NFL actually implements an indefinite suspension, the Browns are screwed. Which would be poetic justice at its finest.
*gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasp*
P.S. This is the best dgd thread [2]
P.P.S. we need to somehow keep this going until at least kickoff day.

I know it's Twitter so the bar is incredibly low but seeing the mental gymnastics people are pulling to defend Watson is baffling. A lot of them are going straight to the race card too because they think what Robert Kraft did is equivalent.
I actually straight up stopped watching one of my favorite football YouTubers (FlemLo Raps) because he kept gushing about how Watson is one of his favorite players and how glad he is that he got a big contract with the Browns. It immediately killed any respect I had for the guy.

@Mana yeah that's the trouble with CBs, it's a position where decline comes fast. It's very demanding, hence why the primes of even the best can be short-lived. Definitely need to prepare for life after Ramsey. Hope Stafford is OK.
And woah, isn't FlemLo a Bengals fan? His allegiances are in a total flux if so.

Yeah he's a Bengals dude but I wouldn't be shocked if he's already got Browns home and away Watson jerseys. I always liked his deep dive videos on players' lives and careers but I can't bring myself to watch his shit anymore. I'll have to rely on KTO and FivePoints Vids to get my fixes, with the occasional Secret Base in there.

Secret Base is my go-to for any kind of deep-dive content. Although I'm mostly subscribed for whatever Jon Bois cooks up.
Watching Browns fans squirm and try to defend a sexual predator is a real eye-opener.

Yeah Secret Base is great, I just like my NFL content the most (it'd be NHL but nobody cares about hockey so there aren't many high quality NHL YouTube channels).
The Atlanta Falcons series Secret Base did was incredible. I binge watched it all a day while building an IKEA closet in my office and I was bummed when it ended despite the whole thing being nearly 7 hours long. Lol.

The Dave Steib series is their current pinnacle as far as I'm concerned. The storytelling is immaculate, and it really highlights something/someone that, outside of hardcore fans, nobody would really know much about.
A lot of people gush about Fighting in the Age of Loneliness, but I have yet to check that out in full.
