Handful of good moments here but yeah it's wayyyy too long and there are entire tracks without anything memorable in them.

I haven't finished this one yet, I'm like 14 tracks deep but it feels like filler city.
Jon's parts all sound so good but then the Tilian sections come in again. I like Andrew's vocals a lot and the contrast between him and Tilian on For the Jeers is almost jarring because Andrew's voice is far better suited to the instrumentals.
So far there are maybe 3 songs I'd pluck off this to listen to but the whole Tilian rape situation being on my mind while listening kills the album for the most part.

Colton back around just to be a hyper edgy troll. You literally have no DGD album rated higher than a 2 except for this one.
If you're going to roleplay a shithead super fan at least put in the effort to make it look believable

Shit. Current Events could potentially be the best song here without the Toilet Paper USA lyrics.

@Monotone, it's funny because the last time I saw Colton in a DGD thread, everybody was fucking him up because he said DGD sucked. 0/10 troll attempt.

lol what is he even saying in Current Events

The definition of a mixed bag. Some of it is undoubtedly better than their last album, other parts are awful. All of it forgettable though.
Ironically, this is as good as Tillian has sounded in a while meanwhile Mess sounds like he needs to retire immediately.

@LightAndGlass, Yeah Colton is young, edgy, and has too much time on his hands. Catch him in every thread on this site stirring the pot.
Tilian has been not so subtly spewing problematic shit for most of his career. He's been a certified blockhead for a long time.

the only novel by ayn rand ive read is Anthem and i like it but it was incredibly overbearing with its individualist/capitalist/no help others shit

I feel the exact opposite way, Dream. Tilian sounds brutal on this and his Buster Baxter singing through a synthesizer vocals have become way too grating over the past 3 records.
Meanwhile I think the sections with Jon screaming are the best part of every single song on the record. He sounds great.

havent listened to this album yet, surprised no one has answered what a 'bandright' is (first sentence of review) too. everyone saying review is good but dude its so poorly written lmao sentence structures are so wack.
agree with lots of the ideas presented though, based on singles ive heard thus far.
will probably spin the whole thing tonight and see what awakens in me (probably annoyance?)

A lot of accusations flying around with no proof pretty sure Colton loves dgd

His album ratings say otherwise. Easy to have them be your favorite Metalcore band if they're the only Metalcore band you listen to.

Something about Colton attempting to troll feels weird. I need a bath or something.

I would personally feel uncomfortable if someone was that obsessed with my ratings but Colton is a solid dude I doubt he will hold it against you

He can hold it against me as long as I can hold his 2020 join date against him.
