Nice of Spotify to break up the songs into several shorter ones

Well, this was pretty good, but I see a lot of ways how it could've been done better. First - brainless metal fans complained about not enough guitars, and I gotta give them that - they could've REALLY moved this a notch up if they put some guitar growl drones in the background (I did hear what was probably that, but only at one or two points), or to use pinched harmonics for ominous shrieks (which I don't think I heard at any point). Get creative with that.
However this is fairly good effort. In sound it reminds me a bit of Phelios' work, though Phelios is even more ambient.

@jay it’s only 27 minutes but still a longboi, gonna see if it’s showed up on soulseek tonight

@normaloctogon I 100% agree, was actually disappointed that both songs weren’t like 5-10 min longer. I really like the atmosphere they’ve created here and it would’ve benefited from spacing out its ideas more. Guess I gotta buy the blu ray version

some good ambient/progressive electronic recommendations so I’ll just add Steve Moore to the list. Pangea Ultima is exactly this approach but far more engaging imo.

Oh let me throw another recommend here as well then: Starterra. Not as ominous but way more engaging spacey ambient stuff.

Stunning album. For space ambient, my all time favourite album is The Magnificent Void by Steve Roach.

As far as ambient music goes, I'd say this is pretty good.

As a big death metal and ambient fan this is bad even for ambient.... which I've always enjoyed.
Anyone who gave this above a 2.5 is just lying to themselves to bring up the avg rating.

Ew what no that’d sound hokey as hell
I’m with Norma I want to vibe out to this for a solid hour.
Feels good to be delusional

Yup garbage album and garbage tastes agreed. This is getting trashed pretty much everywhere 'for good reason' then you got your blood incantation die hards lying to themselves thinking this is good. will love anything the band puts out. And folks are all of a sudden ambient experts now lol. No. This is bad. Pointless album.

I respect the fact that this album is clearly a passion project.
@Hyperion: I’ve exchanged e mails with Steve (extremely nice guy btw) and his favourite band is Meshuggah!
|

The amount of butthurt this album is generating is really entertaining to witness.

“his favourite band is Meshuggah!”
im choosing to believe this because that’s the most badass thing I’ve heard all month lmao. what a legend.

Garbage. I want blood incantation, not an hour of ambient drone. It's not even interesting ambient drone either.
