^^^^ It is, yes, and "Immoral Stain" is just perfect.

"Derelict of Spirit", so fun to listen.

Let The Darkness In, finale is such a powerhouse.

One of my fav Immolation album, already.

It feels a little bit more technical, and I like it.

Starting rate of 4, with room to bump it.

Rips pretty good. Better than Close to a World Below and Here in After easily. I kiddd! Pretty damn good album though imo and although I haven't had much time with it yet I already feel like it's a step up from Atonement honestly

Might be my fav Immo since Unholy Cult. There isn't much separating it from their 2010s material in terms of musicianship or songwriting so it's mostly down to a preference for the production style here.

Still missing all the time signature fuckery and infernal aesthetic that made Close to a World Below a classic tho.

Solid album. The production is nostalgic of early 2000s Immo

Interesting observation, now i want to re-dig "Close to a World Below" to compare. Nice.

I can't get over the farts at the end of "Overtures of the Wicked". WTF was Vigna thinking? This sounds like some pathetic attempt to recapture the intro of "Christ's Cage". Can you hear that?

I'm jamming Atonement right now and I do think that album had more variety on offer than this. Every track on there has at least one unique standout moment, which is something I'm still looking for here.

Thanks conesmoke.

" The drums on this sound so great "

Although expected, Steve's performance is indeed mind-blowing. The confinement surrounding the pre-production of the album gave him time to fine-tune all those little details. Strong contender for drummer of the year.

Steve said in an interview that the pandemic really helped him refine his drums parts here, definitely shows.
