This is a damn good record to let just wash over you and vibe with, no deep focus just let it swallow you. I need to make a playlist of: "Ever present I" records

That album gets a lot of hate around here these days.

I think the part at 3:10 on aware of being watched is one of the coolest moments on the album. Why NOT make the build up more dramatic and then bring in the guitars? The whole pace wouldn't work without the being of the section

I dunno man, I've listened to that song several times and I can't get this same sense of it being an utter mess.

I'm going to be totally honest, I expected myself to have a total 180 opinion on this by now, but it's not happening. Basically everything pyro said I agree with, I still think this is decent, but nothing more.

The pacing on this album is some of the best I've ever heard, they really know when to pull back and then give it everything they've got. This is my first time listening to this band with this album and I am excited to go backwards in their discog

Tremendous creativity and craft but I needed those cleans like a fucking hole in the head. Still plenty to enjoy, overall, but less is more when it comes to vocal cheese for this knuckle-dragger.

You're probably right. I might be projecting a bit too. This album, the latest Allegaeon, Fit for an Autopsy, Enterprise Earth, etc. are all albums that IMHO really didn't need clean vocals. But I digress...to each his own. Your review was fantastic BTW. Extremely well written, as always. I'd love to hear your take on the new Burned In Effigy once you've had a chance to check it out too.

I feel like this is floating between a 4.0 and a 4.5 for me, this is an extremely strong effort by everyone in the band. Perfect blend of complex and melodic.

Maybe the most disappointing album I've ever heard. I never come back to any off this. Just so forgettable.

jeeesus, there's just something about the guitars here. feels far more like a real human performance than this genre usually offers
