'Finally decided to check something from 2022 and picked this. I picked well.'

I noticed you praising Long Road North as well, so you're absolutely killing it so far!

Nice quality vs quantity approach you have going on

Yup, this and CoL were my first two. At least, first two full-lengths. (I checked out the new Circa Survive EP.)

I've since checked out a couple albums I haven't liked so much, hah. But still a pretty good ratio of quality vs quantity ;]

But you're normally more on the minimal side (by this site's standards), right?

Most years, probably. This year, probably not.

idk, there seems to be a fairly small (but very visible) sub-section of Sput that manages to hoover up a ludicrous amount of releases every year - I think everyone else is little more selective / less relentless, lol...

or we simply don't have the time!

anyone who has time to listen to this (or the long road north) more than 3 times has absolutely no excuse for slacking on other fronts

Whoops, I already heard this like 3 times those 3 times... probably? And I'll be absolutely jamming the shit out of CoL for the foreseeable. Plus I've spent significant time with the YAYA KIM release and it ain't exactly known for it's brevity.

I'm in it for the long haul it would seem.

Absolutely loved the song Stages from WTTS, but for some reason this band just fell completely off my radar.

This release is gorgeous, going to be spending some time with this and their previous releases over the next few weeks.

Yesss, those relistens after some time off when you can turn off your evaluative brain and just enjoy are often some of the best. The beer doesn’t hurt though I bet! XD

One of my buddies has moved to this area after spending time back with his family over covid - quite a group of us in south west London now

I think it's generally in my bottom half of the song rankings on this album, but it adds a different flavor and is a very great track in its own right
