so many moments here just emotionally moved me on a level i didn't expect it to at all. surpassed my expectations and took less than 5 listens to top my AOTY list which was already topped with a 10/10 masterpiece.

i mean if you get more out of mosh tunes that "go hard" than something with atmosphere, ambiance, and melody i cant take that away from you. but tbh this is just one of those records where i just can't understand the "boring" claims at all, like kyle we get it you can't punch drywall to this, that doesn't mean it isn't beautifully written

Anyone whos listened to Pantera knows they have tons of songs that arent just mosh tunes that meet your criteria of being beautifully written

I just think you decided to talk out of your ass because once again you cant handle the fact that someone doesnt really like this as much as you do

at best they have like 1 or 2, and even those are dragged down by paper thin production and Phil's macho bullshit vocals. and nah you suggested stripping away the good elements and replacing it with stuff that would make the album monumentally less compelling lol

if you want your Whitechapel to sound like Pantera may I suggest an album for you, it's called Our Endless War. its considerably weaker than this but it has what you want. and at least it has worship the digital age and diggs road, the latter of which is the best song they did before The Valley.

im not saying you have no right to your opinion. but on the other side, if my opinions are allowed to be wrong, everyone else's can too :P

judging by your 5's I think your criteria for masterpiece is just be a highly acclaimed extreme metal album or something without much in the way of frills
