Alejandro annoys the hell out of me to be honest. He's clearly a musical genius, but he's sorely lacking the team behind him to structure him, create calculated roll outs, physical presses of albums, consistent touring, etc. I get he probably just wants to vibe, but someone has to fight to get him actual traction within the industry. He's just kinda scooting along aimlessly, popping out singles and digital-only albums here and there and really limiting his exposure in my opinion.

That constant trickle is how you stay in the good graces of the algorithm but I pretty much agree with you. he's pussyfooting around even with his current output it seems.
