Giving this a first spin and its pretty awesome. I am not a huge fan of the vocals and the production is a bit raw in places and oddly clean in other places. Wish the heavy parts were a little more original but overall pretty solid.

band are streaming the whole album on their youtube channel, was surprised it only had like 500 views. Maybe people aren't aware of the stream.

Damn this is intense, and I like it.

It's not really my thing, within a genre that's already not my thing, but it's still pushing a 4.0. Reminds me of Agalloch (The Mantle is a rare BM 4.5 for me), and maybe Esoctrilihum from this year a tiny bit.

I am slapping a 4 on this bad boy but I'm betting it could grow. Today has been an absolutely absurd release day (Lorde [bleh], Deafheaven [hells yea], BTBAM [oh my fuck yes], Sturgill Simpson [meh], and Switchfoot [hells yea...wait what? yea, that's actually right!]), so with all that said, once the chaos shakes out, I'll have a better overall idea of where this stands lol.

This release week is an absolute doozy agreed. Hoping you achieve some of that WITTR growth over the coming days. Hoping you don’t get caught up in those other mediocre releases . There’s a lot to take away from repeated listens here.

I believe you but honestly BTBAM floored me...it's going to be hard to get off of that one for long enough to give anything else focused attention. Maybe soon, though.

"They've never put out a bad album though"

They haven't but I mean good relative to them I guess. They went from 4/4.5 territory to like 3/3.5 territory. I even like Celestite. Thrice Woven was just a bit of a disappointment to me.

Also this is pretty damn great. They're back in 4 territory.

everyone should check this but then also go check Ardour Loom because it features that one new guy from wittr but is much better than this.
