I know I hand out 5's like candy and that it's become a running joke/site meme, but all it really means is that I think it's in my top 5-7 albums of the year. I used to be really stingy about handing them out but somewhere along the way I just stopped caring and decided to let myself get excited about music again

I don't expect everyone to agree with all my 5s but my hope is definitely that it will get everyone's attention and inspire them to listen at least once

In Another Life is really grabbing me the most so far. I'm not feeling the 4.5+ for this but it's really solid and definitely their best in a long time

I literally just spun In Another Life and was thinking about how underrated it is. Nice choice. I especially love the line: "When will I make it home? When that jukebox in the corner stops playing country songs of stories that sound like mine."

I'm not and was never Mormon, but I was raised Christian and still observe a lot of those beliefs to this day even if in a highly imperfect fashion, so a lot of this resonated with me as well.



I've noticed that a lot of people on this site actually have had a religious background but have either walked away from that or just don't really take it seriously anymore. It kind of saddens me as a devout Christian.

yeah no kidding his 5s are really amazing, i guess my connection to sam's town is blurring my vision or something cause this is good but not that good, maybe I just should stop nitpicking it and take it all in.

This album is just... wow. I never turned to The Killers for lyricism. So with that said, holy f*. Brandon's voice is just made for storytelling (ex. Ben Gibbard and Lucy Dacus), so I'm really happy he found an incredible concept to write to. The themes around it just scream Killers.



The one that keeps me coming back for more is definitely In The Car Outside. Those last 2 minutes are just full of goosebumps; really good mash of Joy Division and Bruce in that piece. Can't wait to hear that one live.

West Hills, Quiet Town and In the Car Outside are my top 3 off of this. The whole thing though is so cohesive and such an incredible listen all around. So blown away by this.

Yep, this could honestly be a top-tier Brian Fallon solo record (Sleepwalkers is still one of my top twenty from the 2010s). I'm honestly feeling very strongly that this will by my AOTY, above even Laura and Billie and Origami Angel.
