I absolutely do not understand the poor reception bialystok is getting. Rly good atmosphere and a very solid chorus on that one

Bialystok's lyrics are what make it. Musically it doesn't do much to grab me.

I waver a lot on Bialystok for some reason. There was a time where I briefly thought it was the 3rd best song on the album but then I never recaptured that feeling. I'm in love with its lyrics though, especially: “I was just thinking about arguing in the kitchеn / Just to be the one that you argue with, is a miracle in itself"

It's just a vibe. I've only heard this twice tho so I need to digest more. Billie honestly has been taking most of my listening time

I mean there is charm in the way that Where The Lightning Strikes Twice is like some unabashed ironic tongue-in-cheek proto-AC/DC worship nonsense shit.
Doesn't save it from being not a good song, but this whole record is sort of like a monkey throwing a bunch of over-the-top pop hooks at the wall, which keeps the record from suffering too much from Lighting at the end of the day.

yeah Beacons is overproduced to shit but it's lyrics are my highlight of this, assuming my reading of them is correct (Conor coming out as nb?)
