Glad I could spawn some theory discussion. I just knew Chapters sounded very similar to other songs they’ve done but sure it’s probably totally different chords. Chords can be different and sound similar in the right context (ie Chapters).

Polar Equals has probably the weakest writing on the record for me. The individual sections are cool, but the medley style feels just as fanservice-y as Chapters and it would have worked so much better if they doubled down on any of them instead of teasing 3 separate songs
Eave Foolery might be my fave along with Chapters, even though both tracks also feel a little underdeveloped. Those good bits are just so so good

Chapters should have been 2-3 minutes longer and progressed more, Eave takes just a bit too long to get going, but both are golden anyways.

i find most of this album so consistent that it's super hard to rank, but the major standouts to me have always been Chapters, Snow Purple Treasures, and Tiny Houses
