Really came around to Termination for some reason. Still the weakest song by far, but it brings the junz ahrd

Found 'The Act' to be a more interesting and 'replayable' album than this.
Still not sure where this fits for me compared to Z1, will need some more listens.
All around I do miss some of the atmospheric elements and sample use of Z1 but these are still solid tracks. A banger for sure.

This man sounds like a panther on Nora. That scream at the 2 minute mark is beautiful.

This is easily Mike's best performance
really wish they could do a full album of this sound/style, would probably make it them a lot more interesting.

They did, it’s called the Act lol. You may not like it but it’s definitely the same sound

@Jay yeah I’m big on Termination now also. Rules

@Jay same. Idk why but it flows exceptionally on the record and that’s always a big thing for me. As a single though, it’s not it. It’s like if NIN put out La Mer as his single for The Fragile.

Yea Termination is a huge grower. I remember the first time for some reason I though it was a bunch of filler, but when I listened to it like a week later, I was totally blow aback realizing that it goes hard

Act sounds awfull.
Only song that could remotely have anything to do with this sound is Switchblade.

nah it's good. The only difference is this is heavier with beefier production, and Mike sounds better. But the general sound is the same to me, including the soft breaks throughout. This is an immensely better execution of the sound though
Edit: Switchblade, The Thread, Spiderhead could all fit here

I think it definitely shows this came after The Act, but both have a lot of differences.
The slower breaks are much more different and haunting here, Jeremy's delivery is different, and the riffs have more umph. Switchblade and The Thread are the only ones I could see fitting here, so I agree with that.

Definitely more umph here for sure. The heavier parts of the Act have payoff to me simply because they're more sparse. But they don't hold a candle to this

Dropped to a 4.5 because even though I love this a lot, I wish we had more synths like we did with the intro to Forlorn. I think that would've brought a new and interesting atmosphere when compared to the more sample heavy Zombie I.

Escape's intro is still the best thing out of both EP's. I still think Survivor is the best song ever though. Atmosphere, the lyrics.... UGH
"Greetings from extermination, Kansas / Death in the midwest"
