The gop line is a bit cringe and but I’m glad at the attempt at singing despite thoughts on whether it was good or not. Great change of pace, for the song and the album as a whole.

He did great on the closer and Skyscraper. I'd love to see them do more of that, and maybe explore some more post-punk influence on their next album.

am I the only one who thinks they are channeling The National on Feign's bridge?

Definitely not. I remember hearing Jeremy say in an interview that he was a massive fan of The National.

oh yeah he loves them, I think his favorite song is Lemonworld , then there's that one Available cover as well
but there's something about Jeremy's delivery and the lyrics reinforce that too: "do I die a little less often", I can totally imagine Matt singing it

This is so good. The guitar is out of this world good. This feels like the absolute perfect response to Stage Four. A lot of this is so personal and sad. I feel I’m listening to private conversations with a man who’s mind is so shaky and unstable. Still, I cannot help but feel some sort of resonance and pain. I often question if this was meant for our ears, but I’m glad it actually is.

To folks questioning about The National... have we forgotten Skyscraper? Lol

Definitely. And yeah, he outright said that Skyscraper was their attempt at doing The National. lol

Skyscraper is still so good, even if the black sheep. A great tribute.

That intense "NOW AND THEN" scream in "A Forecast" straight up gives me chills. I think that might be the most intense vocal from Jeremy (that I can think of at the time). So, that right there negates any naysaying against his vocal evolution.

There are naysayers to the vocal evolution of this? I guess I need to retread the rest of the comments. This is among the best they’ve ever sounded, imo
I’m very close to 5’ing this. Probably will

I feel this is the harder-hitting Untitled mwY album that mwY unfortunately didn’t release

“You'd think by now I'd know my place
But I lose it almost every day
You'd think by now I'd have a grip
But again I've let it slip
If I'm out on a limb admiring something
It may crack in two, I feel nothing
Not the question preceding, or how I'm feeling
But I've carried the world today, I have convinced myself
I drank from the deepest pond
When the ocean did me wrong
Now I'm left with what I've known all along
So I lament
Then I forget
So I lament
Till I reset”
These lyrics tho. Easily the best of the album

Bumping to a 4,5.
Exit Row to Savoring is maybe the greatest moment of their entire discography.

First song already sounds great. His vocals sound better than I remember to be. Really glad the production is awesome once again. Just love their overall sound...
