my only problem with atmosphere, and this is a really small problem cause i've been listening nonstop lately, is that i like their individual songs better than i like the entire albums. like i listen to bird sings why the caged i know, god's bathroom floor and always coming back home to you, to name a few, 24/7, but rarely in the context of their full album

Yeah I get that vibe from their later work, but everything pre-Seven's I can listen to all the way through. Plus with God's Bathroom Floor that's on Sad Clown Bad Dub 7, which is like 32 tracks and some are less than great so I can understand not goin through that entire thing.

yeah I'm with you Feit, I can listen to Overcast!, Lucy Ford and God Loves Ugly all the way through, and if it weren't for that middle section in Seven's Travels that one would be the same way.
The Sad Clowns (with the exception of Bad Dub II) are more like stop-gap releases, and a couple of them are remix/live albums so I get that too. But the first three albums are all near-classics for me (and a for sure classic with this one)

Lemons just sounds like he's goin through the motions and tellin stories for the sake of tellin em.

i agree with that although there a few great tracks on lemons. it's underrated by some, overrated by others.

Stories are better though, and the tracks differentiate themselves better imo. I rarely feel like spinning this. When Life is less consistent though, just has standouts that rullllle
