i'll bite. i definitely wouldn't call those bands pop-punk at all. if i had to attach a subgenre to br it'd be melodic punk (apart from their early hc shit and that one prog album we don't speak of). there are definitely pop elements in their music, but to paraphrase someone earlier, pop-influenced punk =/= pop-punk.
i haven't listened to social d extensively, but i'd just call them punk.
