Agreed, all of his albums signal a constant growth as an artist. Very sad that he died so young, as he was very close to peak.

Mac Miller's passing was a massive blow to the hip hop scene, and we still feel his absence today. Big props to Mac's team for crafting these posthumous projects with such care. "Balloonerism" is another fantastic release that really solidifies his legacy as one of the greatest rappers ever. I'm a big fan of melancholic hip hop, and this album nails it. It's definitely one of the best hip hop projects to come out since "To Pimp A Butterfly." Kendrick's recent work hasn't quite hit the mark, especially since he excels in that same melancholic setting. But it's awesome to have another Mac project to enjoy, and it delivers just as much as ever.

I was just in Pittsburgh actually. I didn’t make it to any places related to Mac, though…listened to ballonerism on the plane. I liked it, but it’s not nearly as good as swimming or circles. I hope there’s enough of that third album in the trilogy to get released one day
