Hey hey, good on ya for responding reasonably. I'm not a fan of nations either, and have spent time earnestly engaging with the ideas DSO flaunt and learning stuff. I mean, my review's a 5 and I talk about how much I love the music and how much their ideas add. I'll happily acknowledge that humans are complicated, make (sometimes large) mistakes and can still end up on a healthy path, perhaps live in a more considered way than most after all.
The crux of the issue for me here isn't that people defend Mikko's right to free speech or that they engage with content produced by despicable people, it's that they give a group that is completely unapolegetic about spreading racism money, perpetuating a cycle that pretty obviously sucks

Yeah, I myself hate racism, so blatant racist lyrics are not my thing at all, even though I could still enjoy the music (Arghoslent come to mind). I find white supremacy completely ridiculous, but even in that realm there are some interesting ideas (specially related to the conscious use of land and ecosystems) altough I obviously differ from their solutions. As you mentioned everything is pretty complex but I get your point. In any case I let actions speak before taking any serious measures, because along my life I've met hot headed people that say stupid shit when in reality they did not mean it. And people change, so I don't mind discussing and reasoning with certain extreme idelogists. It's difficult to express certain ideas or taboo topics and well, on the internet everything explodes too quickly.

@Aluktodolo I already stated what I admire about Varg. I'm not lost in the sauce, I love the sauce. I love different ideas from different perspectives. I agree with you about ethno supremacy being utter rubbish, but that's not what I admire about Varg. Very few people walk their talk these days and I repeat you contribute to things way worse than Varg by choosing what to be conscious of. I'm not going to enter a discussion about fascism but let's say Im not precisely a fan of it at all, yet you seem to think we live in a way better paradigm and that's bullshit imho. What's happening right now in the world is actually fascism in many ways...

Of course I know he has anti-semitic views, now do I share them? Nope. But again, I let actions in everyday life speak. Sure, I think Varg says a lot of stupid things, it's not like I agree with him on everything he says. Anyway, apart from some Youtube videos, I don't like social networks and I don't use them. People say stupid things all the time there. I'm actually pretty sure you follow or contribute to someone who has expressed hateful or stupid comments at some point. It's the norm in this polarized technology ridden world, but at the end of the day what I really care is actions in the real world, that's what really worries me.

You seem to think he would kill him for sure or something like that. Following that reasoning there would be a lot of dead people in the streets judging by social media polarized and hateful atmosphere. During my lifetime I've met people who used to have racial prejudices and later changed their mind and attitude. I prefer to live in a society where you can express things, no matter how radical, and discuss them, than one that employs censorship. In the long run I think it's way better because censorship means a censor power will decide what can be said and what can't be said, and that's very dangerous, specially considering how power changes hands and is used to manipulate the masses.

@Aluktodolo I'm not a coward. I like to talk with all kinds of people and I always express my absolute dislike about certain ideas. I'm interested in what makes people behave and think the way they do. Where I posibly differ with you is that you seem to see fascism when it comes only from one side. I see "fascism" everywhere now, if we see fascism in it's dictatorial power, strong censorship, destroy and suppress the opposition way. Some are ultranationalists, some define themselves as communists... but all of them behaving in a very fascists fashion. It's difficult to categorize my set of current ideas but I guess I'm closer to anarchism than anything else, so I don't like fascism at all.

I could be wrong but that's not what I got from his views (note again that I do not necessarily share them). He promotes an ethno-states kind of world, which is the view that each ethnics should take care of the land they are born into, and as I stated earlier that's not something I share, specially in today's circumstances.
