Leviathan is also pre weak. Sun Forest is just cheese overload and I don't care much for the lyrics or overdramatic nature of it

idk I get zero queso vibes from Sun Forest -- it's def theatric af but I don't think it lessens the impact at all. It's right behind Bright Horses for me

Spinning Song, Bright Horses, and Ghosteen are my favorites at the moment. Hollywood, Sun Forest, and Galleon Ship are also up there

Eh idk man the lyrics are just ass. Imagery of little kids climbing on top of each other trying to reach the sun and these overdone heavenly sounding vocals. Cringey song. Ending is pretty cool tho.

I see it more like a creepy Pied Piper sort of thing lol. idk to me it felt more like the lyrics contrasted the choral vocals and made it unsettling.

Nick Cave was never about subtlety. Always pure drama, theatrical presence, outlandish lyrics, etc. Even on his most solemn records.

Listening to this took an unexpected turn when about halfway into the t/t I accidentally pressed Rebel Lands by Morbid Angel. I recommend the effect.
